Donations at the door
Detroit's award-winning swing band, the Planet D Nonet recorded a live concert at the Scarab Club on a Sunday in May of 2017, paying tribute to Kansas City jazz musician and band leader Bennie Moten. The CD Release Party will be at Trinosophes on March 24th at 3pm.
In addition to the live CD, a thirtyfour page booklet with an essay about Moten and Kansas City jazz by noted historian and author Jim Gallert will also be released on this day.
Trinosphes is located at 1464 Gratiot Avenue (parking lot in rear of building), near Eastern Market.
